The Future of Skating in OTR: Updates on The Hub & Findlay Community Center

Cincinnati’s first new skating rink in decades

The City of Cincinnati will be breaking ground on a new roller rink within the Findlay Community Center. The 60,000-square-foot facility is set to open in the fall of 2026. Here’s what you should know:

The new rink within the Findlay Community Center will be located just two blocks north of the current facility on the site of what is now Findlay Playground

The plans are impressive and include:

  • a dedicated 10,000 sq ft roller rink

  • community rooms

  • a workout room

  • gymnasium

  • track

  • indoor aquatics

  • green space

  • park space

Pending final vote of approval from City Council, construction on the new community center begins in May and is expected to finish within 18 months.

The Hub as a Community Health Center

The current OTR CRC skating rink (aka The Hub) will become space for affordable and accessible medical and dental care offered by Crossroad Health Center. Construction will begin in May 2025 to convert the existing rink to a the health center. It closes for programs on May 23rd.

Currently, we intend to fully enjoy our remaining time with the longstanding rink. It’s now open M-F noon-2pm & 5-7pm, Saturday mornings 10am-2pm, and for our special events.
