Flying Pig Block Party: Spirit Station & Street Skate
Join us for a block party & street skate while we cheer on runners in the Flying Pig Marathon! We’re back bigger and better this year with a DJ, hospitality tent, a cookout, street skating and line dancing. The best part? By cheering and partying from 7:30a - 2p, you’ll help us earn money toward the Riverfront Rink revitalization campaign. Our camp is designed to inspire creativity, movement, and personal growth in a fun and supportive environment. With activities like roller skating, urban hiking, yoga, dance, art-making, and creative writing, campers will explore avenues for self-expression, fostering imagination, celebrating individuality, and encouraging an active, mindful, and curious life.

Skate Nation: Performance & Artist Q&A with Dylan Morton
As roller skating has transcended pastime leisure into prime time entertainment, Cincinnati native Dylan Morton has been at the forefront of elevating skating as an artform. Morton has skated around the world sharing stages with internationally-recognized artists Mariah Carey, Pink, Le Sserafim, and most recently in the Super Bowl halftime show with Usher. In this special program, Morton will offer a dynamic performance illustrating the movement language of jam and rhythm skating, followed by an artist talk and Q&A.

We are actively seeking volunteers to help set up, run games, serve food, giveaway prizes, and rollerskate. We need volunteers to help set up at 3pm and run the programs from 4-7pm. Please consider giving the gift of time to the community and joining us for the biggest kids event of the year!

We are also looking for toy donations to make this holiday skate an extra special evening for kids in the neighborhood. They can be dropped off at the CRC on Dec 7. We would love any new toys that you’d like to donate and know they will be thoroughly enjoyed and well loved!

Start your BLINK journey downtown at the OTR CRC! Join us for a day long wellness event inside the skating rink at OTR CRC starting with yoga, hip hop dance cardio, and DJed rollerskating - all FREE running from noon-7pm.
Skate in the 2024 Blink Parade
Skaters it’s your time to shine! Skate in the 2024 BLINK parade, where we’ll be cruising on a flat fun paved street through The Banks downtown with our program partners, illuminated by a custom design created by light artists at OGE.

Join us for a special morning of skating and analog photography with our friends from FotoFocus and the Contemporary Art Center. Come ready to skate, snap some photos, and vibe to tracks made before smartphones were a thing. FREE admission and FREE rental skates.
Endless Summer Skate w/ DJ Sneaks & DJ Jigg
Spend a beautiful evening at the Endless Summer Skate Night September 28th. Learn new moves from Smitty in his Floorwork and Shuffle Skating workshop at 5pm, and with the contemporary dance crew CA^2 in their free workshop at 8pm. DJ Sneaks and DJ Jigg will spin through the family skate (6-8pm) and the adult skate (8-10pm). FREE and rental skates are FREE with ID - Just come on out!
Opening Reception for Rollin' in Rhythm in partnership with FotoFocus Biennial
Join us at the Opening Night reception for Rollin’ in Rhythm, a group exhibition of street photography, portraiture, and sport videography. Intertwined with the birth of funk music in southwestern Ohio, Cincinnati is home to a vibrant, underground roller skating culture that thrives in two of Cincinnati’s iconic, downtown skating rinks. In these rinks, the act of roller skating, a timeless source of joy and personal freedom, transcends leisure to become a canvas for new art and activism. Through photography and film, eight local artists explore themes surrounding personal expression, resilience, athleticism, and the power of public spaces.
