Join Chris “Ghost” Landrum — 3x  Icy Hot Champion, SBA Champiom (Stride Battle Association) and President of Underground Skate Party — for an exciting session focused on the basic fundamentals, history, and foundations of striding.

Whether you are brand new to skating or looking to sharpen your stride technique, this workshop will provide a fun and educational experience centered around rhythm, culture, movement, and the rich history behind stride skating. Participants will learn foundational footwork, timing, flow, and key concepts that have helped shape the stride community across the country.

Come out, skate, learn, and experience the culture firsthand!

Catch a breeze and vibe at the Riverfront Skating Rink!  Sunset Skate is a festival-style celebration of summer with DJ sets, roller skating, table tennis, cornhole, and a rotation of themes and vendors to enjoy summer nights in a beautiful waterfront park setting. 

Join us for yoga for all bodies and abilities. Bring your water and a mat or borrow from the skate rental counter (limited).

Gain strength, flexibility and balance - of the body, mind and spirit. Each week will have a familiar rhythm with slightly different muscle groups targeted.

Soften or amplify intensity as desired in this beginner friendly full body flow. Connect breath with movement, then cool down with stretches and closing meditation.

Come as you are, leave feeling lighter and more ready to tackle the week ahead.

Kick off the summer skating season with Cincinnati’s largest DJ Festival at the riverfront with over 50 DJs and food trucks throughout the park and at the skating rink.  Special performances by DanceFix, Cincinnati Rope Twisters, and Royalty the Dreamgirl. Wellness programs throughout the day like Dance, Pilates, and Breathwork and Patti & Bootsy Collins Foundation mental health awareness initiative album release with Buckethead "Metal Health".

PaintNSkate is a two-day community art and skating event at the Riverfront Rink in Sawyer Point to celebrate the USA’s 250th birthday. The celebration will take place April 18 from 12 to 6 pm for a public painting day, when everyone can pick up a brush and paint the rink, followed by a ribbon cutting and skating party on April 19 from 2 to 3 pm, featuring DJ V Vibez.

In partnership with the greater Cincinnati community, artist Pam Kravetz leads the painting, with artists Rick Wolf and Matt Whitby. The sponsors are inviting the public to join in painting a large-scale, skateable mural that centers a simple but powerful idea: In America, the people are supposed to be in charge.

The inspiration for the artwork comes from the community itself: members of the skate community offered ideas which the artists will bring to life with a large design for the rink.

Join us for Monster Mash: vintage Halloween rollerskating this October 18th at Sawyer Point's Riverfront Rink.  Enjoy free skating admission and rental skates as you roll and glide to music mixed by DJ Jelly.  Snacks and cold drinks will be available at the counter, and local partners and vendors beneath the rink tent offering activities and other goodies during the skate party.

Get into the groove with DJ Flava at Second Saturday Skate Nights! We’ll be bringing the energy at the Riverfront Rink with a mix of House, R&B and Hip hop skating music to keep you moving. WakeNSkate is a monthly DJed brunch skate social. Clear your mind & stretch out with yoga at 10am, then rollerskating for all ages from 11am-12:30pm and adult skate from 12:30pm-2pm with DJ Dior and a social hour for non-skaters. Free coffee & breakfast bites all morning.

ORSANCO's Ohio River Sweep litter cleanup will clean miles of land and water to shine during the festival.

• Saturday, October 4th

• 9 AM-12PM- check in begins at 8:30AM at your registered location

• Pizza beginning at 12PM

Come dressed for weather, wear sunscreen, and bring your reusable water bottle. Gloves, trash bags, and volunteer T-shirts provided.

Kayak and Canoes welcome! Please bring appropriate personal flotation device if planning on using a watercraft. We have mesh trash bags available for use.

After the cleanup, enjoy pizza and drinks provided by ORSANCO, American River Roots, Ohio River Way, and MadTree Brewing.

• Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky volunteers will meet at Smale Park for lunch. Free parking provided at Cincinnati Parks Public Landing
